Why I Built Franime
The story behind the anime detective tool for weebs and screenshot hoarders.
Visit FranimeYou know that feeling when you're watching a meme compilation and suddenly—BOOM—there's a scene from an anime you've never seen before, but it instantly lives rent-free in your brain?
You pause. You rewind. You take a screenshot. And then you spend the next 45 minutes trying reverse image search, Reddit threads, and questionable forums full of "anime detectives" who somehow never answer your question.
I've been there too many times. So I made Franime.
A reverse anime search tool that does one thing well: tell you what anime that screenshot came from. No pop-ups, no download buttons disguised as ads. Just answers.
It's not groundbreaking AI. It's just solving a very specific, very niche, but very real pain. Because sometimes, knowing the title is more important than knowing your bank balance.
This one's for the weebs. The screenshot hoarders. The people who type "anime with girl and sword and rain scene" into Google and hope for the best.
You're not alone. Franime gets it.
